OKC has no shortage of great breakfast joints.

Prom Cakes

This brunch place definitely lives up to the hype it creates. It often has a wait of over three hours, which isn't surprising when you taste their dishes.

I've been to Jam many times, and I've never had a disappointing meal. Some of my favorite dishes are...

-Border Benny: Who doesn't love spicy beef with a poached egg and green chili hollandaise sauce? This dish is a refreshing mix of flavors. It will leave

you feeling satisfied.

-Hot Jam Biscuit: Jalapeño peach jam. Need I say more? This is a more hearty dish.

-Prom Cakes: These pancakes are made with oatmeal and granola giving them a nice

texture.

Neighborhood Jam is located at 1054, 15124 Lleytons Court #103, Edmond, OK 73013. The prices are a little above average, but still affordable. You can save 10% on coffee drinks with a Keep It Local card.

Chicken & Waffles

Okay. With a name like Waffle Champion, this one is a sure winner.

My usual dish is the Chicken & Waffles. These come with buttermilk waffles, but you can ask for a Belgian waffle instead. The chicken is crispy, which is how I like it. The waffles are topped with crispy leeks and tabasco honey, giving the dish a variety of textures and a sweet and spicy kick.

I tried the Waffle Bites last time I was in. They came with three dipping sauces: chocolate, cookie butter, and blueberry. All of the sauces were good, but the cookie butter was the best.

Waffle Champion is located in Midtown at 1212 N Walker Ave #100, Oklahoma City, OK 73107. They have an above average price but are still very affordable.

This brunch spot reminds me of Neighborhood Jam, but with more of a low-key vibe.

I ordered The Kitchen Sink. Make sure you are hungry if you order this dish. On a bed of hash brown tumblers sits bacon, sausage, mushrooms, sautéed peppers and onions, smoked cheddar and Havarti.

Personally, the hash brown tumblers were a bit too heavy for me, but that didn't affect the overall dish. The sautéed peppers and onions gave the dish that sweet kick it needed to balance the savory flavors of the bacon and sausage.

Hatch has two locations. Automobile Alley: 1101 N Broadway Ave Oklahoma City, OK 73103 and Chisholm Creek: 13230 Pawnee Dr #112 Oklahoma City, OK 73114. It is reasonably priced, but slightly above average.

Have you tried any of these breakfast places? What is your favorite breakfast spot?
