Only twenty more days til Christmas! I've been enjoying the cool weather, Christmas lights, and peppermint flavored everything! So without further ado, let's get to the 10 things you must do this Christmas.....

1. See the Christmas Lights: No matter where you live, you should be able to find a park or a school, maybe even a neighborhood that goes all out on Christmas lights. Get together with some friends, grab some hot chocolate and see some lights!

2. Make a peppermint themed dessert: Peppermint hot chocolate, peppermint ice cream, peppermint brownies. My favorite is peppermint pie. I can't find the recipe, but I will update this post when I do.

3. Watch your favorite Christmas movie(s): You can watch lots of Christmas movies with cable, or with another provider such as Netflix. Fathom Events brings a lot of classics to theaters with TCM Big Screen Classics. They always play Christmas movies in December. This year they are playing "White Christmas". Some of my favorites are "White Christmas", "Elf", and "It's a Wonderful Life".

4. Make a homemade version of your favorite holiday drink: Instead of going to Starbucks for a hot chocolate or buying an instant pack of apple cider try making it. Here are recipes for hot chocolate, eggnog and apple cider

5. Write Christmas cards: People love getting mail. Get some cards from the Dollar Store, or if you're feeling creative, make your own. Make a list of people you think could appreciate a card.

6. Make a gingerbread house: I've never done this before, but I'm planning to this year. Have you ever made a gingerbread house? Any tips?

7. Do a gift exchange: These are always fun. You can do secret Santa, dirty Santa, or white elephant- I'm sure there are more! Odds are you are probably a part of a group who is doing one of these exchanges. If you're not, you can be the one who plans it. A quick search on Google will help you organize it.

8. Listen to your favorite Christmas songs: Is it even Christmastime if you don't play Pentatonix and Trans Siberian Orchestra on repeat?

9. Decorate Christmas cookies: Sugar cookies, icing and cookie cutter make for a fun afternoon!

10. Enjoy spending time with your loved ones: The Christmas Bucket List isn't fun if you are doing it by yourself!
