Here we are friends. More than halfway through with January. Is it just me or has this month gone flying by? Please slow down! I've decided to start a new feature on the blog called Mid-Month Must Haves. Toward the middle of each month, I will post 3-5 of my favorite items of the month.

This is a lifesaver! I love coffee and tea, but I can never finish it. I have probably wasted so much money not finishing my warm beverages. No more! I'm obsessed with my Contigo travel mug. It keeps my coffee HOT for hours. Not lukewarm. Hot! Also, my favorite coffee shop, Vintage Coffee in OKC gives you a $0.25 discount for bringing your own mug. How cool is that? Lots of other places do that too! So, check with your favorite coffee shop. I picked mine up at Target, but Amazon also sells them!
Pro-tip: Make sure to buy the right size. If you normally get 12 oz coffees, make sure to get a 12 oz mug.
2. Boot socks
I have to admit that I have been living under a fashion rock for the past twenty-something years. Who knew there were special socks to wear with boots? Not me. So, if you haven't had your winter fashion awakening yet, allow me to introduce you to boot socks. You can pick these babies up from Target, Walmart, J. Crew, just about any store that sells socks. Boot socks are longer and thicker, so you don't have to worry about them slipping off your feet like regular socks- I used to have that problem. I picked up a few pairs from Target and Walmart, but I linked some on Amazon that I found cute!
I've been suffering from dry hair ever since October. My hair has been tangling like crazy because of it. I'm normally not a fan of conditioner because I have naturally oily hair most of the time. After doing some research and listening to suggestions from friends, I decided to give leave-in conditioner a try. I like Andalou because the avoid using harmful chemicals. I just squirt a quarter size amount and run it through my semi-damp hair before I go to bed. I got mine from Natural Grocers, but you can also pick it up at Whole Foods or Amazon (linked above)
